2018 – Juvenile AGM

The juvenile club held its annual AGM at St Michaels NS in Upper Glanmire on Tuesday 30th of January. There was a decent attendance on the evening where all attendees discussed a number of themes related to developing the club’s infrastructure, fund raising, coach education and continuous improvement of the juvenile experience and the role of amalgamations with other clubs. There were numerous contributions from the floor on the evening and all ideas will be taken forward by the committee for further discussion.

The officers of the juvenile club will remain in place for 2018. Mike O’Flynn (Chairman), Seán Coughlan (secretary), Theresa Quaine (Treasurer), Finbarr Pyne (communications officer) and Imelda O’Connell (school liaison officer) were all proposed and seconded by the floor. They have done tremendous work over the last number of years with the numbers of players increasing significantly, the establishment of a girls underage football and the setting up of a club shop just some of their notable achievements. We wish them all the best for the upcoming year.

2018 – Social Night

The club held a very successful social evening on the 16th of February in the Stirrup Bar. On the night, presentations were made to the outgoing football management team of Mitchel O’Leary, Anthony Kelleher, TC Buckley and Paudie Curtain. Chairman Martin Flynn spoke glowingly of all four men and thanked them for their efforts and dedication over the last few years. In particular Paudie Curtain and TC Buckley have spent many years in their roles. TC has been ever present as selector since 2001 whilst Paudie has served in many roles for well over 20 years. Paudie has now moved on to become the coach of the Clyda Rovers junior hurling team. All in White’s Cross GAA wish him all the best in his new role.

The successful league and championship winning junior hurling team were also presented their medals on the night by club president Dermot Whooley.
