Under 10 Hurling v Na Piarsaigh
The Under 10 boys team played Na Piarsaigh on Tuesday 20th of September in a hurling game in White’s Cross. It was an excellent game of hurling with some great skills on display by both teams. The players that took part were Cooper Coleman, Sean McSweeney, Ruairí Harte, Rory Aherne, Alex Lynam, Joseph Crowley, Shane O Halloran, Cian Ramsell and George O’Connell Daniel Magner, Ben Cashman, Bradley Roche, Joshua Holmes, Ross Todd and Gearoid Hayes.
Under 10 Ladies Football Blitz Rockban
On Saturday 10th of September our Under 10 girls competed in a monster football blitz hosted by Rockbán at Whitechurch GAA grounds. There was a massive turn out on the day with 34 teams from 20 clubs participating with White’s Cross girls entering two teams. Following a lap of the pitch behind a piper and a stirring rendition of our National Anthem, the White’s Cross girls played several matches against well established clubs such as O Donovan Rossa, Ballinora, St Nicks, Kilshannig and St Mary’s. Our girls acquitted themselves with distinction coming out on top in a number of games. Great credit must be given to the hosts Rockbán who put on a great spread of teas, sandwiches, cakes and other goodies for players and parents attending.
