St. Colmcille’s 4 – 16 Na Piarsaigh 2 – 08

St Colmcilles got off to the best possible start in their under 17 league campaign in this match that was played in the Na Piarsaigh grounds in Farranree on Wednesday 17th of May last. In truth this was all one-way traffic. Colmcilles were completely dominant in the first half and lead at half-time on a score of 1-11 to 1-01.  Cian Ryan scored the goal in the opening period while Seab Delaney kicked six points from play. The second half was a little closer but the game was won in the first half. The home side added 1-07 to their tally but Colmcilles added 3-05. Sean Delaney was again the scorer in chief when he bagged a further two goals and two points to bring his total for the evening to 2-08 (the same as the total of the Na Piarsaigh side). Shane Buckley made a welcome return and bagged a late goal on his first outing of the year.
