White’s Cross 4 – 11 St. Finbarrs 2 – 04

Captain Colin Sisk receives the trophy

Congratulations to White’s Cross Under 15 captain Colin Sisk and his team-mates on their convincing win in their football league final. Our gallant bunch of warriors emerged victorious versus St Finbarrs in the final, on a winning margin of 4-11 to 2-4.

While the end scoreline might suggest otherwise, this final was competitively fought for the longest part – indeed having played with the aid of the elements in the first half White’s Cross only led 1-5 to 1-1 at half-time. These bunch of lads are such an honest and hardworking bunch and they fully deserved this win. Well done to them and their coaches – Ciaran Allen, John Barry & Eoin Murnane.

It was a great way to end the competitive year at juvenile level and we are very proud and delighted to have 4 trophies won in 2014 – with the Under 12 footballers also winning their league while the Under 13 hurlers were victorious in both their hurling and football finals.
