Our Junior B footballers lost out on the minimum margin to Ballinora in their third round encounter, despite fine displays from Darragh Keane, Derek O Connor and Michael Osborne.
Round four saw them succeed with a spirited win over a Na Piarsaigh side, that will actually be competing in the Junior A championship. This win was won against all the odds, with key leaders Padraig Murnane, Martin Kelleher, Paul Finnegan, Jonathan Kenneally and Dave Buckley all ruled out with injuries.
Kevin Fennessy, Con Kelleher, Colin Lawless, Chris Long, Joe Leahy and Richie Sherlock all contributed handsomely in a 4-7 to 2-8 victory.
