In the opening round of the Junior A Football League we were pitted against near neighbours Rathpeacon. In a dour and error ridden encounter, as is often the case so early in the season, White’s Cross won out in the end 1:15 to 0:06, with the goal punched home by Johnny Kenneally. However the final score-line does not do justice to our arch rivals, who fought gallantly for much of the game, but simply could not get scores on the board, and ran out of steam late on.
