In a second Under 10 challenge White’s Cross learned the lesson that goals win matches. Gleann Na Laoi’s ability to take their goal chances when they came along was the difference between the two teams at the end.
White’s Cross started the brighter with Sean Heffernan and Cormac O Flynn rattling over 1-03 between them. At the other end Ronan Quane and Kate O Callaghan stopped the few attacks that Gleann Na Laoi had.
The second half saw Gleann Na Laoi come into the game more and more and they took the chances that proved to decisive at the end. Try as they might the White’s Cross forwards could not get the scores needed in the second half. Gleann Na Laoi hung on for a narrow but deserved win.
