The Minor football management, including new selectors Paul Noonan and Jonathan Kenneally saw their charges off to a winning start with a comprehensive victory over Sliabh Rua. The Ballymartle and Belgooly combination had no answer to the greater strength of our lads at White’s Cross last Sunday morning. Paul O Sullivan who kicked 1-2, Brendain Murnane, Ian Lee, Ritchie Sherlock and Paul Walsh guided White’s Cross to a 2-8 to 1-4 victory.
Next on the list for this White’s Cross minor outfit is another home game against Ballinhassig, followed by a trip to the Old Head of Kinsale for a clash with Courcey Rovers. The Minor football Leagues in the City Division has been combined with the South-East League and thus the opposition from the Carrigdoun division.
