White’s Cross 0 – 09 Bishopstown 1 – 07

While the B-team mastered the gale force winds at Nemo our A lads struggled to combat their influence over the road in Bishopstown.  While we dominated this clash for large parts a goal, which came from a wicked deflection off Eoin Murnane and deceiving keeper Billy Sheahan, ended up being the difference between the sides.  To that point the running game of John Meade, John Drummy, Barry O Brien  and Donnacha Murnane had helped us control the game.  However we could not forge ahead on the score-board with our early scores all from placed balls.  With the howling wind of some assistance in the second half, Donnacha Murnane and Eoin Kelleher kicked us ahead.  However the ‘Town goal left us chasing the game one more and while a Murt Kelleher fisted effort from a late free almost ended up in a green flag, White’s Cross lost out 1-7 to 0-9.
