This was a second round tie as both sides got a bye in Round 1.

A big attendance turned up at Riverstown to witness this Junior B hurling championship tie between White’s Cross and Owenacurra Rovers on Sunday evening last. The Upper Glanmire side were fancied to advance. However, they lost the toss and thereby lost the initiative of which they never regained though they did lead at half time on a 2 – 07 to 0-06 scoreline.

The Lisgoold men took control in the second half.

White’s Cross were well served on the day by Jerry Collins, Pat O’Riordan, Noel Murphy, Niall Forde and Ken Spriggs.
