The club officially opened our all-weather Astro-Turf facility on the 20th October 2023. A large crowd gathered with Marc Sheehan, chairman of the Cork County board, the guest of honour. Four grandchildren of four members of White’s Cross GAA who sadly passed to their eternal reward during the planning and construction phase of the project, cut the ribbon to officially open the new all-weather training ground at White’s Cross. All grandchildren are the third generation in their families to be involved with the Club. Sean Delaney (grandson of former Club President Con Delaney – RIP), Mia Buckley (granddaughter of former Club Vice President Eddie Buckley – RIP), Aileen Hayes (granddaughter of former Club President Dermot Whooley – RIP) and Jack Kiely (grandson of former Junior Manager and National School Coach Finbarr Kiely – RIP).
