White’s Cross GAA mourns the passing of their great supporter, Nonie Allen. The club-flag flies at half-mast in her honor. For over a decade, Nonie, with her daughter JoJo, washed, dried, and perfectly folded the adult teams’ jerseys free of charge. She was also a formidable fundraiser, making it impossible to refuse when she asked you to buy a ticket.
Nonie’s support extended beyond the club; she was a beloved figure to all children in the Ballyphilip community, often seen cheering them on from the sidelines, regardless of their team. Known for her playful character and stories, she had a special way with children. White’s Cross GAA extends its deepest sympathies to her family and many friends.
