On Sunday morning 23rd of November, White’s Cross GAA held a special mass for our deceased members and friends. It was great to see such a fine turn out as a community we gathered to ensure that those that have gone before us are still very much in our memory, our thoughts and our prayers.
Fr. Pat Fogarty presided over the mass. Our youngest club member Fionn Kelleher, accompanied by his dad Murt, lit a candle at the altar to start proceedings. Fachtna Kelleher and Tom O’Sullivan did the readings while Abbie Forde, Annie May Twomey, Lily O’Connell and Maria Hayes recited the prayers of the faithful.
Ruairí Harte, Gearóid Hayes, Clíonadh Harte, Aileen Hayes and George O’Connell brought the offertory gifts symbolising the activities of White’s Cross GAA and the eucharist.
Linda Cashman lead a small but superb choir of singers that really made the mass a special occasion. A great thanks is owed to Martin Flynn, Dominic Cahill, Caroline O’Connell, Helen Harrington, Eilis Drinan and Mary Murphy.
