White’s Cross GAA is sports and community based group based in the Upper Glanmire parish of Cork. Our pitch is located in the townland of Ballinvriskig.
We field teams for boys and girls from age 5 upwards. Our adult teams (currently for men only) compete in the City Division (Seandún) of Cork GAA. We compete at the Junior A grade in both hurling and football. We also field a second adult football team which competes in the Junior C championship.
Currently our ladies section is expanding quite rapidly. We now have teams competing for White’s Cross in camogie and Ladies Gaelic Football team up to under 14.
Boys aged 11 to 18 play under the St. Colmcille’s banner. This is a very successful amalgamation with neighboring club Carraig Na Bhfear which has been in operation since 2020 (there was a previous iteration between 1976 and 1982 inclusive). The amalgamation guarantees that we can compete at higher levels than we otherwise might.
Boys and girls from 6 to 11 train and play mini-blitzes with White’s Cross.
Each year, usually in November, the club will elect its officers and form a committee for both its adult and Juvenile sections. We also have a very dedicated lotto committee and a further working group dedicated to improving the club facilities.
In 2022 we completed a very successful astro-pitch development which has transformed our facilities.
