In a thrilling encounter at the East Cork LGFA Under 15 Football League Final, White’s Cross emerged victorious against Kilworth with a final score of 5-09 (24) to 3-04 (13) at the White’s Cross venue on November 22, 2025. The match showcased the talent and determination of both teams, but it was White’s Cross who ultimately claimed the coveted title.
The game kicked off at midday, and it didn’t take long for White’s Cross to make their mark. Just under four minutes into the match, Maria Cotter found the back of the net, giving her team an early lead. The momentum continued to build for White’s Cross , with Sophie Erangey in the center-back berth, setting the tone for their aggressive attacking play.

Kilworth responded with tenacity, and in the 12th minute, Naoise Brown leveled the game with a well-executed goal from play. However, White’s Cross quickly regained control, with Maria Hayes scoring a point from play in the 15th minute, followed by another point from Ciara O’Callaghan a minute later. The first half saw a flurry of activity, with Lola Ramsell scoring another goal for White’s Cross in the 19th minute, further extending their lead.

Despite facing pressure, Kilworth managed to score a fortuitous goal from a long distance free taken by Lily Kenneally in the 24th minute but it was not enough to dampen White’s Cross’s spirits. The first half concluded with White’s Cross leading 2-03 (9) to Kilworth’s 2-01 (7), setting the stage for an exciting second half.
As the second half commenced, Kilworth’s Laura Moriarty and Muireann O’Donovan added points for their side, but White’s Cross were relentless driven on from the back by the outstanding Aoibhe Dunlea. Lola Ramsell showcased her scoring prowess, netting three goals in quick succession.
With the score rapidly increasing, Ciara O’Callaghan added two more points for White’s Cross, demonstrating her skill and composure under pressure. Kilworth managed to respond with a goal from Megan Kellaway in the 14th minute, but White’s Cross was firmly in control.

Emer Kiely and Maria Hayes contributed additional points, and as the match drew to a close, White’s Cross had built an insurmountable lead. The final whistle blew with the scoreboard reading 5-09 (24) for White’s Cross and 3-04 (13) for Kilworth, sealing a well-deserved victory for the champions.
