White's Cross 1-02 Knockraha 5-07

At Riverstown on Sunday night Knockraha qualified for the inter-firm accident tournament final at the expense of White’s Cross. The game was contested all through in a fine sporting spirit and both teams gave of their best.

The first half hour was very closely contested and White’s Cross can thank their goalkeeper, D. Quinlan, that only three points separated the sides at half-time. He saved shots from all angles.

In the second half Knockraha made positional switches which had a marked success. They took control and continued to dictate the trend of play. For the winners R. Daly, C. Murphy, D. McCarthy, L. Hogan and T. Buckley excelled. White’s Cross were ably served by D. Noonan, N. Treacy, B. Murphy, and B. Keeffe. The game was witnessed by a large crowd. Knockraha will meet Mayfield or Brian Dillons in the final.
