Ballynoe dominated the first half and led at half time by 2-2 to 0-0. In the second half the
Ballincollig side made a great comeback and were just pipped at the end of a great game. Ballynoe’s best players were K. Hickey, M. Kelleher, J. Kelleher, A. Walsh, and C. Delaney. M. Tobin, D. O’Donovan, D. McCarthy, and S. Murphy tried hardest for Jack Harringtons.

Model Farm Road 2-2
Model Farm Road tried hard to keep pace with the Ballynoe boys, but were well beaten by a bigger and better opposition. Dermot Brosnan, Martin Kelleher, James Walsh, and Kieran Hurley were prominent. Charles Bogue, Stephen Burke, and Brian Danaher tried hardest for the losers.

BALLYNOE 2-2
Roger Ryans dominated the first half and led at half time by 2-1 to 0-1, thanks to goals from Pat Foley and Graham Power. However, Ballynoe managed to score two goals and a point in the first fifteen minutes of the second half to keep the game evenly balanced. Roger Ryans finished the stronger and ran out winners by four points. John Hurley in the Ballynoe goal brought off some great saves.
