Our under 12 A hurling team got All-Ireland hurling final weekend going when they drew with Clyda Rovers in this league tie which was played in Carraig Na Bhfear very early on Saturday morning..
In this match, the first four scores in the game were goals. Sean Buckley and RJ Whitley scoring for Colmcilles. Each time we scored a goal, it was almost immediately cancelled at the other end as the game ebbed and flowed. Cathal Walsh scored another goal before half-time and Harry Galvin scored two points from frees but again Clyda scored another goal and added some points from frees and from play themselves as they lead by one point at the break.

Colmcilles took over in the third quarter. Oran Crowley had a great game at corner back while in the middle third the likes of Finn Dunne and Aaron O’Sullivan began to nullify the threat posed by their opponents. Cathal Walsh scored his second goal of the game while Harry Galvin added more points which had Colmcilles leading by five points.

A strong Clyda side made a comeback though and levelled the game with a free in the very last minute. We did not hang on for the win unfortunately but we do have three points from four in our opening two league games (after our first round win over Lee Gaels.
