The Club held its annual general meeting with a good attendance showing up at the Upper Glanmire Community Centre. There was one change in the principle officer positions with Martin Kelleher taking over the post of Secretary from Ray Donohoe. However Ray did not stray far and takes on the role of assistant secretary. Pat Reid continues as chairperson, Pat O’ Callaghan as treasurer and Conor Kelleher as PRO. Dermot Whooley is Club President and Fr. Ted Sheehan has been added to the list of Vice-Presidents.
Given the success of the Junior A footballers in 2008 it will come as no surprise that there were no changes in those in charge. Thus Finbarr Kiely continues as trainer and manager and Michael O’ Callaghan continues as a selector for his second year. Paul Noonan and Jonathan Kenneally have resumed their partnership once more in 2009, to take charge of the Minor Footballers. Lar Burke will manage the Junior B Footballers in 2009.
White’s Cross GAA would like to express gratitude to all those who are vacating roles for their assistance in the past season. Moreover we wish the new selectors and those continuing in their posts all the best in 2009. Here’s hoping that in 12 months time each will be reflecting back on a job well-done!
